If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
John 15, 7
Olevanders Norwood-OP is now under way. This morning we were able to visit once more and even hold him before we accompanied him to the surgery room. There, we got to talk to the anasthesiologist who was optimistic about his case and who didn't foresee any complications. Later we got the first of the hourly updates that Olevander is now on the bypass machine and that the operation is progressing according to plan.
Just to be able to appreciate what this surgical team is there to accomplish: Remember Olevander is a newborn who is 6 days old and weighs just a little more than 7 lbs. His heart is only as big as a walnut! That is where everything is hooked up: wires, tubes, probes etc. And the surgical team of 7, 8 people with their hands and tools still needs to do some work on it. That is just amazing!
Please continue to pray that Olevander may live through this!
