Eliane is learning to read!
It is contagious to watch her excitement making sense of the written world around her.
The beautiful thing is once this door is open there is no end to reading. She won't be able to NOT read what sees: signs, labels, titels, headings are everywhere.
I only have one concern: I do hope that even with this new eye-opening skill of reading she may continue drawing and produce more of her beautiful God given art.

Ihre Freude, wie sie sich die geschriebene Welt um sie herum erschliesst, ist ansteckend.
Das Schoene daran ist, dass sich diese Tuer, einmal aufgestossen, nicht mehr schliessen wird. Sie wird gar nicht mehr NICHT lesen koennen: Ueberall sind Schilder, Etiketten, Schlagzeilen und Aufschriften.
Nur ein Bedenken habe ich: Ich hoffe sehr, dass sie, selbst mit der neuen augenoeffnenden Faehigkeit des Lesens, trotzdem weiterhin malen wird und auch weiter ihr gottgegebenes Zeichentalent zu Papier bringen wird.
